Tiny Christmas Cottage (No CC)

This tiny pet friendly cottage is ideal for a single sim or couple to celebrate the holiday season. Cozy up in front of the fireplace and enjoy some winter cake or mulled wine, look for a surprise inside the holiday crackers, decorate a tree in the back garden or set off fireworks to celebrate the new year.

Download it here. Enable MOO before placing for the build to display correctly.

Exterior. I'm quite pleased with how the custom plumbob Christmas tree came out :-)

The mailman delivered some Christmas cards and gifts for you...

Your truck is filled with the Christmas shopping you did in town today:

Your pet can snuggle in a comfy bed on a warm rug and enjoy a selection of toys inside this tiny dog house with its glass roof. In RL my dog sleeps inside, so you will see that reflected in the bedroom in this build too :)

Enjoy a grand meal outdoors under the twinkling lights:

Have some fun decorating your tree with ornaments, garlands, lights and a topper or set off fireworks to celebrate the arrival of the new year:

Potter around in the garden (includes winter plants Holly, Christmas Rose and Snowdrops).

The bath is placed to allow your Sim to bathe dirty pets. It is fully functional.

Enter through the festive front door into a small hallway with a coat rack, umbrella stand and space for your pet collars and leashes.

Cozy up in front of the fireplace and enjoy some winter cake or mulled wine, or look for a surprise inside the holiday crackers. You can also listen to some festive music, enjoy knitting, watch your favourite holiday movie, play your favourite video game or curl up with a good book. And don't forget about the Christmas treat for your pet...

What would the holidays be without a festive feast? You can prepare a grand meal from this tiny kitchen :-)

Head upstairs to the festive looking bedroom with its en-suite bathroom. I love this picture that captured the sunlight streaming in through the window.

In RL my pet sleeps on the bed, and while it isn't possible for dogs to sleep on beds in TS4, I still wanted to create the illusion of my dog sleeping on the bed with his "blanket" and a cuddle toy :-).

The bed is fully functional despite the build/buy items and Sims can sleep on either the left or right side (Sims can scoot over to the right side even if the bed is against the wall).

While taking pictures of this room, I captured these images and realised for the first time that the cuddle toys in the game an actually close their eyes - how cute is that?! ♥

And here are some pictures of the build in Winter:

Thank you for stopping by and viewing this build!

Notes:

The build is deliberately cluttered with chairs placed directly in front of the fireplace. While I prefer the more realistic look of the furniture placement, the game may end up generating more fires so use the fireplace with care!

The outside dining area has two placemats that doesn't upload correctly from the gallery. To get the red placements let your Sim set the table and choose the Fancy > Border style setting.

Thank you to Schnuck who posted this awesome tutorial on how to create a gingerbread roof trim, which I have used in this build.

Thank you to The Sim Chache for the idea for a kitchen paper towel rack from the base game toilet paper, as seen in this video.
